As a girl who has been passionate about EDM since a young age, I have always been on the lookout for the best raves and music festivals in the city. My search for the perfect underground dubstep scene in New York came to an end when I discovered Synchro Events. From the moment I stepped into my first Synchro show, I was completely in love.
The atmosphere at Synchro shows is truly electric. Not only does the lineup feature some of the biggest names in EDM, but the crowd is also incredibly friendly and welcoming. I have met so many new people at these events and have formed close bonds with many of them. I've been to Synapse and Manifest, they were both great edm shows. The community at Synchro shows is truly one of a kind, and I am so grateful to be a part of it.
I have always had a love for dubstep music, and Synchro Events has introduced me to a ton of local dubstep artists in New York and Brooklyn that I had never heard of before. Being able to witness these talented musicians perform live has been such a treat, and I have discovered so much new music that I now can’t imagine my life without. My love for EDM started at a young age and has only continued to grow since then. For years, New York has been home to some of the most renowned music events in the world. Recently, a new type of event has been making waves in the city that never sleeps- raves hosted by underground event companies. One such company goes by the name of Synchro Events. In late 2020 Synchro Events took the underground scene in New York by storm, and they don’t show signs of slowing down anytime soon. With several successful solo events, collaborations including a bass DJ competition and a healing sound bath just to name a few, and even a small festival, Synchro is making their name known in NYC nightlife.
Synchro has been paving the way for underground DJs and artists alike to make a name for themselves and get to showcase their talents and passions. At these raves, you are guaranteed to witness an electric atmosphere, with a wide range of music from dubstep to house to experimental bass and much more. The energy of the crowd is palpable, and the sense of unity and acceptance is simply incomparable. These shows have become quite the competition for the bigger players in the scene, as they offer a unique experience that can’t quite be found elsewhere. Not only do they provide a space for artists to express themselves and gain recognition, but they also create a safe and inclusive haven for all who attend. When I was invited to attend a rave thrown by Synchro Events, I was beyond excited. They had a reputation for throwing some of the most unforgettable parties and I was eager to experience one for myself. When I arrived, the atmosphere was intoxicating. Music was blaring from the speakers in not just one but three separate rooms, all celebrating a unique sub genre of electronic music from the next. Colorful lights were flashing from the ceiling, and an immersive art experience was created with neon glow in the dark paint. I was immediately drawn in by the energy of the crowd. People were dancing, chatting, and having a great time. I felt like I was in a different world. For an underground event company just getting their start, they really went above and beyond.
Synchro’s team was also friendly and welcoming, making sure everyone felt safe and comfortable. After chatting with one of the founders and explaining I myself am an artist, I was invited to play at their next show, which I did and it was a major success. I got to play a set alongside some lifelong friends, old and new thanks to Synchro. There's fewer joys greater than being presented an opportunity like that and being recognized for the work you put in as an artist. A Synchro Events show is a collaboration and appreciation of art, its truly a breath of fresh air for the community.
As an underground dubstep artist, I am truly thankful to have been given the opportunity to perform in New York and to have had the chance to share my music with a larger audience. In a city that is known for its vibrant music scene, being able to showcase my sound was an experience that will stay with me forever. I can’t thank Synchro Events enough for taking a chance on me and giving me a platform to show off my work. I never thought that I would be able to make it this far, and to have the chance to perform in front of such a magnetic crowd with the likes of some really talented individuals gave me the inspiration of a lifetime. Synchro also granted me with the opportunity to network with other artists in the scene and to build relationships that will help me to grow as a producer and a DJ. I was provided with more than just a platform to perform. Their staff was always on hand to answer any questions that I had and to provide me with the support that I needed to make the show a success. They provided me with the equipment that I needed to make sure that my sound was heard loud and clear. I can’t thank Synchro Events enough for giving me this incredible opportunity to share my music with such a magical audience.
